Pre-contractual information for connected products and related services under the Data Act
If you are considering purchasing, renting, or leasing a connected product from Essity AB or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates (collectively "Essity", "we", or "us"), or if you are considering using a service related to an Essity connected product, this Data Notice (the "Notice") describes how Essity's connected products and related services collect data, the types of data collected and how you, as a user, can access this data in accordance with the Data Act.
General information about data from connected products
Your Essity connected products supplied can generate product data which may be accessed either directly or upon your request (commonly referred to as "indirect access"). Data that is directly accessible (if any) may be viewed, streamed, or downloaded directly without the need to submit a request to Essity. In contrast, data that is indirectly accessible requires you to submit a request to Essity before such data can be obtained.

Access details The technical means and sharing arrangements for access to the described data above are subject to the Essity Data Sharing Agreement. Please note that data classified as trade secrets or security-related data might be subject to additional non-disclosure and safeguard measures as outlined in your contract. When available, requests for data access can be initiated via smartcaresupport@tena.com. Upon your request, Essity will manage your request and e.g., verify your user identity. Note that data classified as trade secrets or security-related data might be subject to additional non-disclosure and safeguard measures stated in your contract with Essity. |

1 Only upon certain exceptional events will this type of data become readily available (e.g. if the device is in Essity's physical possession). In such exceptional cases the data can be accessed by sending a request to smartcaresupport@tena.com. Please note that this is a rare exception and that this type of data will normally not be readily available.
General information about data from related services
Related services are connected to one or more connected products that generate product data, and the service itself may also produce additional related service data. This data may be accessed either directly or indirectly. Data that is directly accessible can be viewed, streamed, or downloaded without the need to submit a request to Essity. In contrast, data that is indirectly accessible requires you to submit a request to Essity before it can be obtained.
Please note that the types and frequency of data generated by your related service may vary based on factors such as product model or generation, configuration choices, software updates, or technical improvements. For further information, please refer to the product and service description accompanying each specific related service.
